What's Required to Set Records?
- You must be a financial member of your local Association
- You must be a financial member of the NZPF
- You must be a member of these two for a period of no less than 6 months (180 days)
- You must be registered on the Drugfree Sport NZ register - automatic upon completing membership
- A break in membership means eligibility commences from the date of re-joining after paying the competitor membership fee
Competition levels Competing at Provincials Note: to set Regional records requires all referees to be Provincial or higher.

- Regional - South Island or North Island
Competing at Regionals and Regional Record Note: to set National records requires all referees to be National or higher.

Competing at Nationals and NZ Record

- Regional - South Island or North Island

Classic lifters can break Equipment Optional records. Equipment Optional lifters cannot set Classic Records. Competitors in a 3-Lift Powerlifting Competition can set Single Bench Press records providing they make a total.
